No eggs

Yesterday the doctor called and said that Luke's allergy tests showed he was allergic to eggs. I am glad that it wasn't wheat or milk. I am looking forward to his getting better now that we know how to prevent his eczema and wheezing. We met Marianne, Bebe, and Andy at Sprout to play. The kids played for 2 1/2 hours! Even Luke got down and played. I don't have any pictures to post since I didn't take the camera with me. Too much to pack already. Our PhotoShop isn't working either. So I'll have to post pictures from today that aren't so hot straight off the camera.
Greg made me oatmeal chocolate chip cookies yesterday since I can't have regular cookies. (No eggs for Luke so no eggs for me either since I'm still nursing.)

They were pretty yummy. We took some to the librarian at Olivia's school today. He has had book fair in the library all week so he needed some sweets. Olivia bought a chapter book with her own money. She read some of it to some of the teachers who were in the office while we showed off how big the boys were. Miss. Leah was so sweet to listen to Olivia read. She was very impressed and went on and on about how good Olivia's reading and fluency is. I was glad she did. It made Olivia smile BIG! She finished the 11 chapters book tonight! Way to go Olivia!

I love watching the boys play. Every day the boy's interaction is more meaningful.

Winter Blues....kind of....:)

I was so busy today I didn't even think about taking pictures. Sometime soon when enough is done around the house I plan on making one of these.

I'd like to wait until Luke is 1 and we take our pictures as a family again. It has been so deary lately. We just take pictures of the kids. I'm looking forward to a sunny warm day. Bring on Spring if we're not going to get more snow! Anyhow, then maybe we'll go to the park and take pictures. I'd really love to go to the beach. Too bad it's so far away. For now I'll just dream of it. :)

Star of the Week

Olivia is the Star of the Week in her class starting today. She filled out the poster with Greg.

This morning Olivia got to play with Luke before she had to leave for school.

Letting Nathan sit in the playpen might have been a mistake. He wanted to sit in it first thing this morning. Maybe the newness will wear out as the days go by. :)

Too tired

Brushing Olivia's hair before church. Olivia said "Brush it back Nathan. I like to close my eyes and pretend that I'm on the beach." Ha! She's hilarious!

Luke can sit up for long periods unsupported. He's not to the point where I feel I can be more than an arms length away though. Here, he's having belly time.

We got the playpen out for the baby. No not this baby! However, he wanted to sit in it after he saw it. What's funny is when he was a bitty baby, he didn't like sitting in there. Go figure.

We had bible study tonight. It was good. Always makes me think.

Big Sister

We were busy today. Olivia had dance class. I had Chez Ami trunk stuff and shows to do. In between the two, Olivia and I went to Belk. I got a few things for myself, a camera for Nathan, and a Valentine's Day outfit for Olivia. We had fun. She bought an Auntie Anne's pretzel with her own money. She was so proud of herself. She even shared a bite with me. I probably wouldn't have taken any pictures today if it wasn't for Olivia saying "Mom! Take a picture of us!" when Luke leaned over on her.

"Lost" is back!

I am currently watching "Lost" and remembering that it is SO suspenseful. I stopped watching it so I could get the DVDs and watch them all at one time. It looks like this might be the best season yet. Anyhow, that is not what this blog is about. Today will be short because I have to check in clothes from my Chez Ami trunk, finish sewing a reversible cape, finish a calendar I started, and put away laundry. Luke seems better. He nursed well and ate some sweet potatoes and bananas. He and Nathan played big time today. I need to videotape their interaction because there is no explaining it. It's too cute. They each think the other is trying to grab/play/peek a boo the other.

An after school snack. Olivia's appettite has grown recently which is hard to believe since she is such a good eater to begin with. Nathan looks up to his sister so he had a snack too!
